101 Goals in 1001 Days

I love lists.

I mean I really love them. My planner consists of endless daily to do lists (color coded in order of importance, of course). And keeping in touch with old friends? Why write pages, when you can just “list it”. With all the cell phone aps and websites dedicated to lists (although I do enjoy rememberthemilk and 43Things), nothing can compare to the satisfaction of of crossing out completed tasks, marking side notes, and highlighting. Wow, I’m one organized nerd, huh?

Inspired by an idea I recently came across on The Lunchbox Diaries and thanks to the original creators Day Zero Project, I decided it was time to start one of these master lists myself.

Yep, I’m talking about  101 Goals in 1001 Days:

Why 1001? The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, noticeable fitness results, or outdoor activities.

Since it’s ultimately impossible to think of 101 goals in one sitting, I’ve decided to use the list generator on Day Zero’s website, so I can add new ideas as they come to mind.

To get started, I advise you use this goal generator worksheet. Check out my progress so far!
