Beauty Trends Roundup: Spring 2012

The runways for spring 2012 are showing off more than just new wardrobes. For those of you who yearning for some beauty trends happening this season, be prepared! Mixing a dash of old world with some daring new trends.  Runways featured rouge lip colors paired with futuristic glittery eye accents that were made of timeless natural tones combined with powerful smoky shadows and liners done in fresh ways.

The Lips: Lipstick’s legend was reinvented this season proving that there are endless ways to wear a dramatic red.

Christian Dior

Temperley London

Yves Saint Laurent

Jason Wu

The Eyes: Extreme smudged-out eyes were spotted on the runways. The smokey effect is beautiful and daring. My favorite yet! The style doesn’t require a steady hand to pull off either (whew)!

Gucci

Rodarte

Ungaro

United Bamboo

The Cheeks: Another trend spotted on the runway were sun-kissed cheeks. The effects of the being out in the sun were mimicked by make up artists by contouring the high parts of the face with lush peach bronze. This effect enhances a peachy, care free healthy glow all over.

DKNY

Michael Kors

Christopher Kane

To try these trends yourself don’t forget to pair subtle vintage with modern boldness to make a statement that will be unique, rememberable and most importantly help you establish your own personal look!
