Say Goodbye to Getting Sick!

Let’s face it, no one likes getting sick. Having to stay in bed during the craziest party of the year or going to the doctor while all your friends are at the beach is never on the top of our list. That’s why I’m providing you with great, easy ways to boost your immune system so you can stay healthy all year round!

Take Vitamin C

People who take daily doses of Vitamin C can boost their immune system, potentially protecting themselves from viruses and colds. There has been more research about the immune-boosting effects of Vitamin C than  any other nutrient. It increases the production of infection-fighting white blood cells and antibodies that  prevent the entry of viruses.

Get Plenty of Sleep

Sleep is essential for our health and wellbeing. While we’re asleep, our body repairs itself, and having a good amount of rest means that our immune system is better fit to fight off any attacks of sickness.

Eat!

We need to eat well to stay well. And spring is the perfect time to enjoy delicious fresh fruits that contain plenty of sickness fighting vitamins. Other foods that combat illness are yogurt, oats, garlic, fish, chicken soup, tea, beef, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms.

Get Some Fresh Air

Rainy and gloomy spring showers can make it hard for us to want to go outside, but on those beautiful days get out of the house and go for a walk or a bike ride with friends!  We need fresh air because it’s a great boost for our system.

This can be hard sometimes but increased stress negatively affects your health. Take whatever steps you can to deal with your stress factors in your life.

Get Plenty of Exercise

Exercise gets the endorphins going, and a happy brain leads to a happy body. Find something you enjoy and get active.

Limit Alcohol Intake

Too much alcohol can affect your immune system, so be sensible and reduce your alcohol intake. Although, luckily, a moderate amount won’t do any harm, try to spread it out.
